Forward Deployed Engineer

Role Summary

You embed with plant and operations teams to stand up Facthory pilots — ingest, retrieval, and agents — then translate shop-floor constraints into product and hand off a repeatable deployment.

Responsibilities

• Embed with plant / ops teams during discovery and pilot.

• Stand up pilots covering ingest, retrieval, and agents on real site data.

• Translate shop-floor constraints into product requirements and configuration.

• Hand off a repeatable deployment the customer success team can run again.

• Work in Python and cloud/Kubernetes environments alongside customer engineers.

Required Skills

• Python and customer-facing engineering in production environments.

• Cloud and Kubernetes familiarity sufficient to stand up a site pilot.

• RAG / retrieval systems used against operational documents and video.

• Comfort explaining technical trade-offs to plant and IT stakeholders.
